The Most Important SBS Rule
Simply stated: Use the Wizards!
SBS is a special product, written by a dedicated team at Microsoft. It is tightly integrated, with a footprint crafted to allow all its services and programs to run on a single server.
It is unlike the rest of the Windows Server Family in that the mysterious settings underneath are configured for you IF you use its built in configuration screens, which the SBS team calls Wizards. They are accessed from the Server Management Console, which is a local self contained web site running on IIS.
This document, along with the scripted installation, does a good job of walking you through the installation. But setup and maintenance after the base install can be a bit confusing, especially for an experienced IT Pro.
